This porcelain sculpture takes the form of five intertwined minks, arranged to resemble a garland similar to those used at children's parties. The way the minks are entwined also recalls fur collars worn by women during cold weather, which were highly popular, especially in the 1930s. Festive-colored spots adorn their bodies, reminiscent of party confetti, but also of the splashes of paint that some animal rights activists would spray on fur coats to protest the treatment of these animals, which were often kept in deplorable conditions. The piece oscillates between joy and cruelty, between sensitivity and frivolity.
