Collection: Wild Trails

From July 15, 2021 to September 29, 2021

From July 15 to September 29, 2021, the Jano Gallery is hosting the exhibition Wild Trails. Bringing together 16 artists from Montreal, Quebec, Charlevoix and Métabetchouan, the exhibition explores the notion of "walking" from different angles.

Walking, a relatively banal exercise has become in 2020 a form of privilege, a way out, a way to cope. Whether in town or in nature, on marked trails, or in exploratory mode, it creates a distortion of temporality and brings about an introspective relationship. Wild Trails questions the mental, physical and spiritual spaces provoked by these real or metaphorical wanderings.

Curated by artist Gabrielle Lajoie-Bergeron and gallery owner Anne Janody, Sentiers sauvage - Wild Trails will be physically presented at Galerie Jano Lapin and accessible online via the gallery's website - JanoLapinGallery.com.

Artists: Alexanne Dunn, Alisha Piercy, Cynthia Dinan-Mitchell, Esther Calixte Bea, Eva Morrison, Geneviève L'Heureux, Isabelle Demers, Karine Locatelli, Leila Zelli, Magali Hébert-Huot, Marie-Claude Lepiez, Nicolas Ranellucci, Olivia McGilchrist, Olivier De Serre, Simon Emond and Véronique La Perrière M.
